HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- A Topeka woman is behind bars after being arrested in Jackson County on car theft charges.
The Jackson County Sheriff's office says Wendy Zirkle, 44, was arrested south of Holton Wednesday for possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
During a car stop on U.S. 75, Jackson County Sheriff Deputies performed a vehicle check and discovered the 2005 Buick Lesabre that Zirkle was driving was stolen out of Sumner County, Kansas.
Deputies discovered what they believed to be a controlled substance inside the car.
Bond for Zirkle is pending.
