Topeka Woman Arrested After Attempted Kwik Shop Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka woman is behind bars after police say she attempted to rob a Kwik Shop in Central Topeka.

Police were called to the scene in the 1700 block of South Topeka Boulevard around 4:30 a.m.

Police say 42-year-old Jennifer Jackson tried to grab money out of an open cash drawer while the clerk was helping another customer.

She was arrested a short time later for theft, exertion of unauthorized control, obstruction of duty and a bench warrant.
