TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka's City Council took time Tuesday night to applaud an outstanding local teacher.
Mayor Bill Bunten issued a proclamation, declaring April 3 "Kelly Norman Day" in the Capital City. Norman attended the meeting to accept the honor.
Norman is a math instructional coach at Topeka's Chase and Robinson Middle Schools. Norman was one of seven teachers recently selected for the 2013 Kansas Master Teachers Class.
The group will be honored at an awards program April 3rd at Emporia State University.
