TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Talk about cutting it close.
The Salvation Army of Topeka's Red Kettle Campaign didn't reach its $200,000 goal until the very end. With the last nickel and dime counted, the organization said it topped that goal by just $1,384.
But while they may have raised as much as they wanted with their Red Kettle campaign, the local Salvation Army isn't home free yet. They said they are still only about 2/3 of the way to their overall Christmas goal.
You can still reach them at the online at the link on the right, on Facebook at the Salvation Army of Topeka, or by mail at The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 599, Topeka, KS 66601.
