TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Topeka Roadrunners are holding a special fundraising event Friday March 1.

The team is working with the Fraternal Order of Police to send the families of Officer Jeff Atherly and Corporal David Gogian to Washington D.C. for the National Police Week Memorial.

For every ticket sold to the RoadRunners game against the Wichita Falls Wildcats, the team will donate $1 to the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation. The Kansas Expocentre will match the amount.

The money will be used to pay for travel expenses for the families.

The game is at 7:05 p.m. March 1 at Landon Arena.
