TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A runway at the Topeka Regional Airport may soon get a makeover.
The Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority board Tuesday unanimously approved a $6.28 million budget to have the runway resurfaced.
In a teleconference, they voted for Bettis Asphalt to carry out the project.
The FAA will cover a majority of the cost with the Air National Guard Bureau paying $1.5 million, and the MTAA covering $475,000.
The contract still must be approved by the 190th Air Refueling Wing and the FAA before becoming official.
