TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A local radio station is devoting its airwaves to helping children fight deadly diseases.
WIBW-FM 94.5 Country started its annual two-day radiothon Thursday morning. The event encourages listeners to call in and give money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
S.t Jude's is the world's top research and treatment center for childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.
People can donate by calling 1-800-330-9727. The public also is invited to bid on items in the St. Jude Children's Hospital benefit auction online at www.94country.com.
