TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A celebration of freedom took center stage at a Topeka church Wednesday night.
Music, poems and dance all highlighted the Juneteenth program at Second Baptist Church. 13's Justin Surrency was among the presenters.
Juneteenth celebrates the day the last slaves learned they'd been granted their freedom. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the document that did that, the Emancipation Proclamation.
