Topeka Moms Advocate For Kids With 22Q

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - It's a rare genetic disorder that most people haven't heard of, but a pair of Topeka moms hope to change that.

April Lira and Jamie Sherrrow both have children with 22Q. April's daughter Cassie and Jamie's son Dayton are among children who are
missing a section of chromosome 22.

The moms hope to educate people on what 22Q syndrome is, how it can impact children and where other families can find support.

They visited with Melissa on 13 News a 4. Watch the video to learn more.
