Topeka Metro Introduces The Holiday Express

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Topeka Metro has a plan to make the holiday shopping experience a little easier for Capital City residents.

Beginning November 29th Topeka Metro will operate a "Holiday Express" shopping shuttle along the Wanamaker corridor.

The free shuttle will run up and down Wanamaker Road from approximately 11th street to 21st street, stopping at various shopping venues along the way.

To catch the shuttle, shoppers are encouraged to park in the lot in front of Factory Direct Appliance and Orscheln's.

The Holiday Express will operate from 10 am to 6 pm every Thursday. Friday and Saturday until December 21st.

On Black Friday, the shuttle has extended hours, from 6 am until 6 pm.

For those last minute shoppers, the shuttle will operate on Monday and Tuesday, December 23rd and 24th from 10 am until 6 pm.

The Holiday Express will pick-up and drop-off approximately every 20 minutes at the following locations:

On The Border
Sam's Club
Walmart West
Kohl's/Barnes&Noble
West Ridge Mall
Toys R Us/TJ Maxx
Target
Bed, Bath&Beyond/Hobby Lobby
Kmart West
Home Depot/Dick's Sporting Goods
