TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Amtrak passengers will have an easier time getting around the capital city.
The Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority began picking up passengers Monday at the Amtrak station on SE Holliday Place.
They then transport the passengers to the Quincy Street Station where they will be able to transfer to other routes.
Right now, they are only picking passengers up once a day, Monday through Friday, at 5:35 a.m. Passengers can transfer to other routes at 5:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.
Topeka Metro General Manager Susan Duffy says if the program receives a positive response, it will become a permanent part of their service.
