Topeka Man Pleads Guilty In Death Of Son

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man pleaded guilty in the death of his seven-month-old son Tuesday.

31-year-old James Maloun entered the plea of aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit involuntary manslaughter.

Maloun shook his son, Gage, causing severe brain injury that led to the child's death in 2007.

The first trial for Maloun ended in a hung jury in October.

A judge denied a delay of his current trial just a couple weeks ago.

Maloun will be sentenced March 29.
