TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Topeka man who was reported missing earlier this week was found dead Friday.
The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office put an alert Friday morning asking for assistance in locating 48-year-old Anthony Vinning. They say his family last saw him leaving his home in the 1400 block of NW Daisy Road around 4 pm Tuesday.
By Friday afternoon, however, authorities were informed Vinning was found dead on the east side of Lake Perry, near the Devil's Gap area. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says Vinning's locked car was found in the area and his body was discovered in the woods.
No foul play is suspected. Jefferson County is assisting Shawnee County authorities with the investigation into Vinning's death. An autopsy will be conducted.
