Topeka Man Gets Federal Sentence On Crack Cocaine Charge

TOPEKA, Kan. -- A Topeka man has been sentenced to federal prison on a crack cocaine charge, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Tuesday.

Howard Wayne Taylor, Jr., 33, Topeka, Kan., was sentenced to 63 months. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. In his plea, he admitted he possessed crack cocaine and two firearms when police stopped him on Oct. 12, 2011, in Topeka.

Grissom commended the Topeka Police Department and Assistant U.S. Attorney Randy Hendershot for their work on the case.
