Topeka Man Federally Charged With Possessing Meth Near School

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man has been federally charged for possessing meth within 1,000 feet of an elementary school.

53-year-old Terry Wood is charged with one count each of possessing meth with the intent to distribute and for maintaining a residence in furtherance of drug trafficking.

His residence, near 15th and SW Brunswick Road, was within 1,000 feet of McCarter Elementary.

If convicted, Wood faces life in prison and a $60 million fine.
