Topeka Man Captured After Fleeing From Courthouse

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man fled from the courthouse Monday afternoon after learning his probation was being revoked.

26-year-old Roy Huett ran out of an alarmed emergency exit on the northwest corner of the Shawnee County Courthouse just after 1:30 p.m.

After a short time, Huett was found near the Topeka Police Department and a Kansas Highway Patrol K-9 unit, in the 600 block of Southwest Harrison.

Huett was taken into custody and transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on an arrest letter and charges of felony obstruction.
