Topeka High School Student Starts Racquet Donation Program

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--Griffin Koupal has been playing tennis for 10 years.

Now the Washburn Rural Senior wants to use his passion to serve the community by starting the "No Strings Attached Donation program."

Koupal got the idea while trying to decide what to do with his own old tennis equipment.

The program will collect old racquets--rethread and regrip them if necessary--then donate the racquets to the Boys And Girls Club Of Topeka, where they will find a new match

And it's good to know he can return a little of what tennis has given to him.

Koupal says that he hopes that the program will spread across Kansas and beyond.

If you have a racquet you would like to donate go to the Topeka Boys And Girls Club, The Topeka Country Club Tennis Center contact Griffin Koupal at 506-3433.

If you take it to the TCC they will give you ten dollars towards a new racquet.
