TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka High School is helping its students succeed with help from a new initiative.
Officials cut the ribbon on the new Trojan Mart Monday morning, the name comes from the school's nickname, the Trojans.
The mart offers free items for students to get what they need to succeed in school.
Teachers and staff members give students who stand out a "live responsibly" ticket, that then allows students to go to the mart before or after school to pick something out.
Items include food and fruit, school supplies and personal care items like toothpaste, soap and deodorant.
