TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police Department Detectives are putting together what led to a shooting that sent one man to the hospital early Tuesday morning.
LT Scott Gilchrist said officers responded to a report of several gunshots in the area 3600 E 7th at about 2:35 a.m. Eighteen minutes later, a man walked into a local hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
After investigating, authorities discovered the shooting occurred in front of 3609 E 7th. They had no suspect information Tuesday morning.
