TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Metro got on board with First Friday Artwalk activies for the August event.

For the first time, Topeka Metro provided shuttle service between several of the artwalk stops. The service ran from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and included stops in places like Westboro, NOTO, the public library and Warehouse 414.

Metro's Quincy Street Station, at SE 8th and Quincy, even got in the act. The location served as a display point for bus benches that were painted by local students and hanging artwork also created by young artists.

Metro served up cake to guests to celebrate Topeka Metro's 40th
anniversary.
