DICKINSON CO, Kan (WIBW) -- Three people were killed on Kansas roadways Sunday (4/8) in two fatality wrecks.

The latest happened Sunday afternoon in Dickinson County. Kansas Highway Patrol officials say a Ford Taurus was westbound on U40 about a half-mile east of Chapman, when the car left the roadway, flipped and landed in a creek.

Riley Knox, of Abilene, was killed. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Sunday morning, in the southwest part of the state, a two-car crash killed two in Ford County, seven miles west of Dodge City.

A Dodge City driver went left of center, striking another vehicle head-on. The impact killed Fred Ruda, 67, and Eleanor Sexson, 90, both of Hays. Those two were wearing seatbelts.
