Three Teens Injured In Wreck Near Lawrence

(WIBW) - An accident at the Kansas Turnpike's Lecompton interchange Wednesday morning injured three Topeka teens.

It happened just before 7 am. The Kansas Turnpike Authority says 19-year old Tara Massey of Topeka was southbound on K-10 at I-70 when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Josh Stanley of Topeka turned left in front of her. Their vehicles collided.

Massey was treated at a Topeka hospital and released. Family members tell 13 News Stanley was flown to Stormont-Vail with internal injuries. The hospital reports he was in fair condition Wednesday night.

A passenger in Stanley's vehicle, identified in the KTA report as 18-year-old Marc Mendez, also was injured. Information on his condition is not being released.
