Three Motorists Killed Over Memorial Day Weekend

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Three people were killed on Kansas roads over the Memorial Day holiday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol released its statistics Tuesday, from the period between 6:00 p.m. Friday and midnight Monday.

KHP says all three of the fatal crashes were alcohol related.

In all, 30 people were arrested for DUI, more than 1,100 were cited for speeding, and almost 1,200 motorists were assisted during the holiday weekend.
