Three Arrested After Sheriff Smells Pot While Serving Warrant

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) Three men are in jail after Jackson County officials smell drugs while serving an unrelated search warrant.

Kyle James Tyler, 22, Kyle Lee Tyler, 25, and James T. McDaniels, 25, were booked into the Jackson County Jail Sunday for felony possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

This comes after the Jackson County Sheriff's office served a search warrant Sunday at a home at 802 New Jersey Street in Holton for Kyle James Tyler.

Tyler was wanted for driving under the influence stemming from an October 15th rollover accident north of Holton.

While serving the warrant, the officer noticed a marijuana smell coming from the home.

Later that evening, officers returned to the same home with another warrant where they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
