RUSSELL, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Kansas Department of Corrections announced Friday morning that Santos Carrera-Morales, 22, was apprehended and taken into custody in Russell, Kansas at 11:38 p.m. Thursday.
Carrera-Morales was one of four inmates that escaped from the Ottawa County Jail at approximately 5 a.m. on Wednesday. He is the third to be apprehended. He was convicted in 2008 of two counts of first-degree murder.
Eric James, 22, remains at large. He is considered armed and dangerous. James was convicted in 2009 of three counts of aggravated burglary and one count of kidnapping.

Two other men who escaped with them have since been apprehended. Drew Edward Wade, 21, was found in North Platte, Nebraska at 5:30 Wednesday evening.
The fourth man was apprehended shortly after his escape but was not identified.
