TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- An employee was robbed Wednesday afternoon at a Topeka Sonic location.
Shawnee County Dispatch called the incident at 21st and Western a "theft to an individual." The victim reported being strong-armed, as the thief demanded money. According to dispatchers, the victim did not report the use of a weapon by the suspect.
A witness to the crime told 13 News that a man walked up to an employee and grabbed the worker's cash. The suspect then immediately fled on foot. The witness made no mention of a weapon being used.
The robbery was reported just before 2 p.m. and no further details were immediately released.
