TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The results for this year's project topeka food drive are in!
The group set a goal to collect 192 tons of food. They collected 182.2 tons of food this year.
The top four businesses to donate are Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Kansas, BNSF Railroad, Capitol Federal, and Westar Energy.
While they didn't reach their goal, Project Topeka President Dan Woodard says they will continue to try to help the food banks out no matter what .
"The need grows every year. We work with all of them very closely and they tell us every year we have more this year than last," Woodard said. "It's one of those things that we have to endure and hopefully we can just help more people out."
Project Topeka will be taking late donations. If you would still like to help out, call 228-5112.
