TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Topeka Roadrunners are teaming up with Topeka Police Department for a good cause.
The Fraternal Order of Police Foundation and the Topeka Roadrunners are partnering to raise money to send the families of Corporal David Gogian and Officer Jeff Atherly to Washington,D.C. for the National Police Week Memorial in May.
Corporal Gogian and Officer Atherly were killed in the line of duty December 16th. For every ticket sold for the Roadrunners March 1st game against the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The team will donate one dollar to the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation.
The Kansas Expocentre will make a matching donation.
