The Third Judicial District Has A New Chief Judge

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Shawnee County's Third Judicial District has a new Chief Judge.

Chief Justice Lawton Nuss announced today that the Supreme Court appointed Judge Evelyn Wilson to a two year term. It begins January 1, 2014.

Wilson has served since 2004 as a judge in the Third Judicial District. She replaces current Chief Judge Nancy Parrish.

Parrish will continue to hear cases, but will no longer have the additional administrative duties associated with being the chief judge.
