TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A road project along Southwest Gage that was planned to begin tomorrow morning has been delayed because of business accessibility concerns.

City Manager Jim Colson is currently looking to improve communication with local businesses from Southwest 33rd Terrace to Southwest Forty Fifth Street.

Local businesses expressed concerns about the construction in a petition filed Thursday in Shawnee County District Court against the city and its contactor Bettis Asphalt and Construction.

The city is currently reviewing the situation.
