TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- The American Red Cross reminds the community that there is another day to celebrate after Thanksgiving festivities end.

Red Cross Press Release:

After the turkey, after the Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday, comes #GivingTuesday and we want to encourage the community to get involved with the American Red Cross. All of the following are wonderful ways to give something that means something this holiday season:

· Volunteer

· Donate Blood

· Shop our holiday catalog

· Attend a Red Cross event

The Red Cross is able to do what we do thanks to the generosity of our community. Whether it is a cancer patient in need of blood and platelets or a family who has just lost everything in a house fire, the Red Cross is there each and every day, 24 hours a day.

About the American Red Cross Kansas Region:

The Kansas Region covers the entire state of Kansas, except the following counties:

Anderson, Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, Douglas, Franklin, Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn, Miami and Wyandotte.
