TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities say a young mother who ran away with her infant son has been found safe in Kansas City, Kansas.
16-year-old Heather Dawn Zeferjohn and her 9-month-old son, Julian, took off early Thursday morning from the 6600 block of SW Crestwood in Topeka. Family was especially concerned because the infant has a medical condition. The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says both were found around 4 pm Friday by the Kansas City, KS Police Department. Authorities did not say whether Zeferjohn and her child were with a 16-year-old male they were seen leaving with Thursday.
