TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A community garden got a green make-over.
The Ted Ensley Gardens on the West Edge of Lake Shawnee received some tender loving care from Shawnee County citizens early Saturday morning.
Volunteers with a green thumb worked to plant flowers and beautify the gardens.
The event is part of a monthlong string of activities to celebrate Earth Day and is organized by the Keep America Beautiful Affiliate of Topeka and Shawnee County.
