Students at Tecumseh South Elementary School raised money for families in need. The sixth grade student council presented the Topeka Rescue Mission with a check worth $663 during an energetic school assembly.

"Well we decided to go for the Take Change Wars. We put money in teacher's jars and that money went to the Rescue Mission so we could raise money for the Rescue Mission to have extra food and clothes for the people in need," said 6th grade student, Sophie Brazington.

The students started raising money last week. During the assembly, kindergartners through 4th graders sang christmas songs
and the 6th grade band performed.
