TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A local teacher is making good on a promise she made to students at the start of the school year.
Mrs. Kimberly. Bayless told her 4th grade class at McCarter that she'd cut her hair into a purple mohawk if they collected 10,000 "lassos" this school year.
The students earned lassos for demonstrating 3 "R's" in the classroom.
ready, responsible, respectful
Thursday Mrs. Bayless had her hair cut into a mohawk, in front of the entire school. Last year Mrs. Bayless had her head shaved entirely.
