Tandem Riders Crash, Results In Life-Threatening Injuries

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- From Release: On Saturday September 8, 2012 at about noon, police responded to an injury accident involving two motorcycles in 300 block of NE Highway 24.

The motorcycle operators were traveling together riding in tandem. The lead motorcycle, operated by William Loveland, 56, Overland Park, Kansas, signaled and began to turn right. The motorcycle operated by Rodney Reno, 47, Overland Park, KS ran into back of the motorcycle operated by Mr. Loveland.

Rodney Reno was transported by AMR to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The accident is under investigation by the Accident Reconstruction Team.

Investigation continues, police ask anyone with information to call detectives at 368-9400 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
