TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka Police say home burglary and and home invasions are an ongoing battle in the Capital City.
Crime stats released Thursday show that overall, crime is up 1.72% from 3rd quarter 2010. These numbers represent data collected through the quarter ending in September.

The public is invited to be part of a Topeka City Council work session, Tuesday, October 18. Topeka Police Chief Ron Miller will be on hand to discuss what the council can do to prevent community crime.
