TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police were investigating a shooting late Friday in South Topeka.
Just before 10 pm, police say a woman in a vehicle near the Sonic at SW 37th and Topeka Blvd. flagged down a passerby for help, saying she'd been shot.
The victim was identified as 52-year-old Rochelle Chatfield-Anderson of Topeka. She was shot twice in the face and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was life-flighted to a another hospital for further treatment.
Early Saturday morning, police arrested Robert L. Brown Jr. at his home at 3521 SW Brendon Ave. He was booked for attempted 1st degree murder in connection with the shooting.
