TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ One Topekan's trash is another's treasure. At least at the Topeka Police Department's Sale In The Park.
Topeka Police Department held the sale at the Crestview Shelter House in Shunga Park Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Citizens cleaned their basements, attics and garages and donated their unwanted items to the sale.
Shoppers found a variety of options including jewelry, decorative items and furniture.
The proceeds will go to units within the police department as well as the volunteer, cadet and chaplain programs.
