TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ The Topeka Community Cycle Project has lowered its number of required hours for the month of August.

Residents who are in need of transportation have the opportunity to help out at TCCP restoring and maintaining bicycles.

The required number of volunteer hours to receive a bicycle is 10 hours, but this month it has been lowered to five.

Children ages 13 and under are able to get a bike for free.

TCCP helps Topekans who are in need of transportation. They accept bicycles as donations, clean them up with the help of residents and recycle them out to those who have put in volunteer time.
