TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A suspicious package forced an evacuation at the Law Enforcement Center for several hours Monday.
The package was discovered around noon near the south side of the center.
Officials believe someone going into the building left it outside.
The bomb squad was called out to investigate. It was determined to be a backpack containing toiletries and clothing, but nothing suspicious.
