OGDEN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County investigators are looking into the death of an Ogden man after officers found his body inside his apartment.
A report of an unattended death was filed with the Riley County Police Department at 11:40 PM on Friday, November 2, 2012.
A neighbor of 50-year-old Alan Jump called police saying they were concerned because they hadn't seen Jump in a few days.
Officers responded to Jump's apartment at 315 North Park Street in Ogden and when he didn't come to the door, they made entry and found him deceased.
Lt. Josh Kyle, an RCPD spokesman, told WIBW that "there were no signs of violence but there were some unusual, suspicious circumstances investigators are checking into."
He did not elaborate further.
Kyle says an autopsy has been requested. The case is being handled by the RCPD's Investigations Division.
"We're still trying to determine a precise cause and manner of death," Kyle said.
Jump, he says, lived alone.
