TOPEKA, Kan.-- A man was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning, after a suspect forced him to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash.
At 10:50 Monday morning, police responded to a call of an aggravated robbery in a parking garage located at 215 SE 9th. A man was in the parking garage when he was approached by a black male, between the ages of 25-30 wearing a white scarf or shirt over his face and blue gloves.
The suspect approached the victim in his car and pointed a gun at him and demanded money. When the victim was unable to give the suspect money, the suspect got into the victims car and had the victim drive to an ATM on 21st Street where he withdrew an undisclosed amount of money to give to the suspect.
The victim then began driving back towards the parking garage, and the suspect jumped out of the car at 8th and Monroe and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
