TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -Officers responded to a robbery late Saturday night around midnight at 2699 Southwest Murrow Court along the Shunga Trail.
Police say the victim was forced from his bicycle while riding on the trail and had his backpack stolen.
The victim stated the robber then fled into the woods near the Shunga Creek where police arrested 23-year-old Nathaniel Hammersmith and booked him into custody as a suspect.
