TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - It may be summer vacation for students, but that hasn't kept them away from the classroom.
6th through 8th grade students attended the 6th annual Shawnee County Sheriff's Summer Youth Camp at Seaman High School. Students listened to a weather presentation from 13's meteorologist Drew Switzer before embarking on several team building activities outside.
Activities incorporated physical fitness, life and decision making skills.
Some activities planned for the rest of the camp week are a SWAT demo, firearms awareness and dodge-ball.
