TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Area middle schoolers helped raise awareness for after-school programs with an event Tuesday afternoon.
French and Jardine Middle School students took part in "Lights on After School" at the Mulvane Art Museum. The national day will be observed Thursday, but a scheduling conflict has the students participating early.
The group toured the are museum, made their own art in the art lab and even got a look around the the Washburn campus.
"Lights on After School" highlights after-school programs across the country and the opportunities they provide for school students.
