TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The long lines continue for those waiting to get their tags renewed.
Shawnee County first experienced what was deemed a statewide slowdown Friday, forcing them to close early.
Shawnee County Treasurer Larry Mah says tag renewals are going through properly Monday, but employees have to make multiple attempts to get title work done, causing the long waits.
Mah says they will work until all customers are served, saying as of 4:00 p.m., about 33 customers were waiting to be helped between the Annex and Courthouse locations.
