TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Cheerleaders jumped at the chance to get fired up for the school year.
More than 300 middle and high school students from around northeast Kansas took part in a "Spirit Spreader" clinic Tuesday at Seaman High School. Expert instructors guided the students through lessons in safety and sportsmanship, and, of course, stunting and cheering.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association is behind the clinics. They're holding a series of nine across the state last week and this week. They expect to see 3600 students in all.
