TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Some very special visitors are in town for this weekend's Shrine Bowl.
Patients from the Saint Louis Shriners Hospital for Children arrived in town Wednesday.
They were accompanied by Topeka Police officers as they arrived at Washburn University.
Not only are they here to watch the big game, they'll also show athletes why they are competing.
Shriners officials say the children will share stories of how Shriners has helped them with cross country and band members, and cheerleaders Thursday morning. They'll meet the football players Thursday afternoon.
