Sorority Hosts Golf Tournament In Support Of Breast Cancer Education

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- A group of sorority girls worked outside Sunday to support a good cause.

Washburn University's Zeta Tau Alpha chapter hosted the first annual pink ribbon classic golf tournament to help fund-raise for breast cancer awareness and education.

They decorated the golf course with pink flags and signs. Several people from the community enjoyed a fun round of golf and friendly
competition in a putting contest.

" I'm so glad people come out for a great cause," said Philanthropy Director from Zeta Tau Alpha, Kelsie Baumgardner.

Each team donated $300 towards the cause and there were a total of 15 teams. Golf shop gift cards were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the contests.
